The Nega-Bomb detonates. All superhumans who were born without superhuman powers and gained them through artificial
means instantly return to normal. Brute Force, the Deadly Duo, and Vanguard, however, are safe orbiting the Earth,
watching the events unfold on television. Wanting revenge, a de-powered Mako volunteers is services to the Police Force,
who along with Brute Force, Powerhouse, Fever, Vanguard, and the Deadly Duo, launch a rescue mission to free Dragon and
SuperPatriot from Covenant clutches. The still-powered members of S.O.S. also arrive, and Mighty Man kills the adult Damien
Darklord, but not before Darklord kills Zeek and Smasher. To prevent the young Damien Darklord from eventually growing into
his adult self, Dragon crushes his head... and everyting changes.
In a back-up story set in the early 1970s, Super-Tough and Young-Tough battle their nemesis, Damien Darklord. After he is
captured, however, another time-travelling version from the future arrives and detonates a Nega-Bomb, sending Super-Tough and
himself to another dimension. A badly wounded Young-Tough recovers in hospital, where he is rejected for membership in Youngblood
due to the scarring on his face.
In a second back-up story (not set in regular Dragon continuity), baby Damien and Malcolm avoid eating their dinner by escaping
into another dimension, only to be attacked by eggplant-monsters. After they blow up the monsters, they have french fries and
milkshakes for dinner.
