Justice, severely beaten and possibly dying, arrives at a hospital, where he tells SuperPatriot that Liberty is held captive the the Covenant of the Sword, who are building their own 'master race.' SuperPatriot furiously attacks the nearby Covenent stronghold and fights his way past their tightest defenses, only to discover that his toddler grandson - the super-intelligent Damien Darklord - has taken over the organization as their 'chosen one.' SuperPatriot is prevented from killing the child and captured by Smasher, who along with Liberty, the real Lightning, and Dragon's son Malcolm, are all unwitting slaves of the Covenant. Meanwhile, the shrunken Dragon captures the shrunken villain Lightning Bug and forces her to help him battle the Vicious Circle, who have restored themselves to normal size. Hellrazor is maimed and the shrinking ray is destroyed before Dragon and Lightning Bug can be restored - but Dragon's healing ability starts to kick in, and he slowly begins to resume his proper stature.
