In New York, Kill Cat and the Kid Avenger accidentally encounter the super-villain Fusion, who can replicate himself, attacking a bathing woman, and soon afterwards Fusion's replica appears on a TV talk show, while his host body is confronted by the infamous Spawn. The Deadly Duo manages to attack the replica on air, and then join forces with Spawn to defeat both incarnations of Fusion.
